How to read an auction

High rate: the highest accepted yield (bills shown on an investment-rate basis).

Bid-to-cover: dollars bid per dollar sold. Higher means stronger demand. "vs prior" compares with the last auction of the same security.

Indirect: share of competitive awards to indirect bidders, a proxy for foreign and institutional demand.

Dealers: share left with primary dealers. A high share usually signals weaker end demand.
